I just signed up. What should I do first?
Add your real business name, ask your AI a question, then connect one channel so a real customer can actually reach it.
There is a deliberate order to the first few things worth doing, and it is built around one idea: see it work before you configure it further.
The order that works best
- Add your real business name, if you have not already, under Settings, then General. Everything after this uses that name.
- Ask your AI a question in AI Assistant settings and watch it answer. This is the fastest way to feel whether it is working, before you have connected anything customer-facing. See How do I see my AI actually answer a question?
- Connect a channel, website chat is the fastest to set up if you already have a site, so a real customer has a way to reach it.
- Add your business knowledge, a few FAQs or your services, so answers sound like your business rather than a generic one.
- Invite a teammate, only if you share the inbox with anyone.
This is the same order your dashboard checklist follows, so if you would rather just work down that list one item at a time, that works too. See What is the checklist on my dashboard, and do I have to finish it?
Why this order, and not configuring everything first
Connecting a channel before you have seen the AI answer anything means you find out it needs work at the same moment a real customer does. Testing it first, on your own, costs you nothing and catches the obvious gaps early.

More in Getting started
The other guides people read alongside this one.
- What is Peakify CX, and what does it do for me?
An AI front desk that answers calls, texts and chats using your real business details, and brings in a person the moment a conversation needs one.
- How do I sign up, and what does the $1 trial actually cost?
Create an account in about two minutes, pay $1 to start a 7 day trial, and you are only charged the full plan price once you go live.
- Why do I need to enter a code, and what if it never arrives?
We email a 6-digit code instead of a link. It is good for 10 minutes, and you can ask for a new one after 30 seconds.
- What are the three questions I have to answer before I get in?
Pick your business type, tell us your business name and contact details, then meet your AI assistant and try asking it something.
Did this not cover it?
Start a chat and the assistant will try first. If it cannot help, it hands you to a person.
Or email support@peakifyhub.com. We answer within 1 business day, Mon–Fri.
