What are the three questions I have to answer before I get in?
Pick your business type, tell us your business name and contact details, then meet your AI assistant and try asking it something.
The very first time you land in your account after paying, you get three short screens before you see the dashboard. There is no way to skip straight past them without pressing Skip setup, and together they take about two minutes.
Step 1: what kind of business is this
Pick the option closest to what you do. This sets up your task lists and automations, and you can change it later. It does not decide what your AI assistant says, that is a separate step further on.
Step 2: tell us about your business
- Type your business name. This is required, and it is the name your AI gives to callers and visitors, so use the name your customers already know you by.
- Add your website if you have one. It is optional: leave it blank if you do not have one yet, and if what you type is not a working web address, we quietly skip it rather than blocking you, you can add it later in Settings.
- Add a contact email and a contact phone number if you want to. Both are optional.
- Press Continue. If you gave a website, we start reading it in the background right away, so the next screen can already speak to it.
Step 3: meet your assistant
This screen shows a live chat with your own AI assistant, greeting you by the business name you just typed. Try asking it one of the suggested questions, or type your own. It answers from what it knows about your business so far, including anything it picked up from your website if you gave one. If pages are still being read in the background, you will see a short note saying it is still learning.
Press Go to dashboard when you are ready. Nothing further is saved on this screen, your details were already stored when you finished step 2.
Skipping setup
Skip setup is available on every one of the three screens. If you use it, you land straight on your dashboard, and the progressive checklist described in What is the checklist on my dashboard, and do I have to finish it? carries the same steps forward so you can come back to them at your own pace.

More in Getting started
The other guides people read alongside this one.
- What is Peakify CX, and what does it do for me?
An AI front desk that answers calls, texts and chats using your real business details, and brings in a person the moment a conversation needs one.
- How do I sign up, and what does the $1 trial actually cost?
Create an account in about two minutes, pay $1 to start a 7 day trial, and you are only charged the full plan price once you go live.
- Why do I need to enter a code, and what if it never arrives?
We email a 6-digit code instead of a link. It is good for 10 minutes, and you can ask for a new one after 30 seconds.
- What is the checklist on my dashboard, and do I have to finish it?
A short list of the things worth doing next. Nothing on it blocks you, and it disappears once the required steps are done.
Did this not cover it?
Start a chat and the assistant will try first. If it cannot help, it hands you to a person.
