What do the numbers on my dashboard mean?
Total contacts, messages sent and open conversations, plus two charts and your ten most recent conversations.
Your dashboard's top row gives you three running totals at a glance, and the charts and list below fill in the last 30 days of detail.
The three numbers at the top
- Total Contacts. Every customer in your Contacts list, all time, not just the last month. A customer in Deleted customers, or a duplicate merged into another contact, is not counted.
- Messages Sent. Every outbound message your account has ever sent, all channels, all time. This is a running total, not a monthly count. Messages in a deleted conversation are left out.
- Open Conversations. How many conversations are currently open right now, this changes as conversations get resolved or new ones arrive.
The two charts
- Message Performance by Channel. Messages sent, delivered and failed, broken down by channel, over the last 30 days.
- Daily Activity. Messages, conversations and contacts over time, also the last 30 days, so you can see whether things are trending up or flat. Deleted conversations and deleted customers are left out, the same as the numbers at the top.
Recent Conversations
A list of your ten most recently active conversations, so you can jump straight into one without going through your full inbox.
If a number looks wrong or stuck at zero
Total Contacts and Messages Sent only count activity that has actually happened, if you have not connected a channel yet or nobody has written in, these stay at zero, which is correct, not broken. See How do I know my account is actually working? for a more direct way to check.
If a number or a chart genuinely could not be loaded, you will not see a zero pretending to be real. The top row shows a short message telling you the statistics could not be loaded, and a chart or your recent conversations list shows the same kind of short message in its own space instead of its usual empty look. Refreshing the page tries again, and the other numbers and panels keep working normally while one is having trouble.
