How do I see, add, remove, or change the cards on my account?

The Payment methods tab lists every card on file and lets your admin add a card, remove one, or make a card the default for your subscription.

The Payment methods tab on your Billing page lists the cards saved to your account. From there your organization admin can add a card, remove one, or choose which card is the default, without leaving Peakify.

Viewing your saved cards

Open the Payment methods tab. Each card shows its brand and the last four digits, for example Visa •••• 4242, and its expiry date. Check here before a card expires so a subscription payment or an auto top-up does not fail.

What the badges mean

A card can carry more than one of these at once, or none:

  • Subscription billing card. The card your subscription actually charges. This takes priority over your customer default for your subscription's own invoices.
  • Customer default. The fallback card on your account when nothing more specific is set.
  • Auto top-up card. The separate card your automatic wallet top-up charges when your SMS & Voice balance runs low. This is set independently of the other two, changing one does not change the others.

Adding a card

  1. Press Add card. A secure Stripe page opens, so your full card number is entered with Stripe and never stored by Peakify.
  2. Enter the card and save it. Stripe brings you back to the Payment methods tab, which shows Card saved and lists the new card.

If your account had no default card yet, the new card becomes the default within a few moments. If you already have one, it stays the default until you press Make default on the new card. Adding a card never changes your auto top-up card.

Making a card the default

Press Make default on the card you want. It becomes the card your subscription and your other recurring charges bill, and your customer default. Your auto top-up card stays as it is. The card that is already the default shows Default card instead of the button.

Removing a card

  1. Press Remove on the card.
  2. Press Remove card in the box that opens. The card is deleted from your account for good. To use it again later, add it as a new card.

Some cards cannot be removed, and the tab says why under the card:

  • your only card on file, so add another card first;
  • the card that pays for your subscription, so make another card the default first;
  • your auto top-up card while auto top-up is on, so turn off auto top-up on the Credits tab first.

Anything else

Press More options on the Payment methods tab to open Stripe's own secure billing portal, for example to update the billing details on your account.

More in Billing

The other guides people read alongside this one.

  • How do I go live, and what does it actually charge me?

    Press Go live now to see the exact amount before anything is charged, or do nothing and it charges automatically on the date shown when your trial ends. Cancel the charge any time before then to stay on the trial.

  • How do I change my plan?

    Pick a new plan, contact volume or billing interval from Change plan, see exactly what it costs and when it takes effect, then confirm. Nothing is charged until you do.

  • How do I add credit, and can it top itself up automatically?

    Add money to your SMS & Voice wallet any time from Billing, or turn on automatic top-ups so it never runs dry. It is the one balance that pays for texts, calls and AI Workspace answers for your team past their free monthly amount.

  • Where do I find my invoices and see what I was charged for?

    The Invoices & receipts tab lists every subscription invoice and every one-off payment, credit top-ups, automatic top-ups, A2P and signup fees, each with a link to download it or view its Stripe receipt.
