How do I go live, and what does it actually charge me?
Press Go live now to see the exact amount before anything is charged, or do nothing and it charges automatically on the date shown when your trial ends. Cancel the charge any time before then to stay on the trial.
Going live is the moment your plan actually starts billing. Until then you are on your trial, and a Go live card on your Billing page tells you exactly when the automatic charge happens and lets you either bring it forward, see the amount first, or cancel it.
See the amount before anything is charged
- Go to Billing.
- On the Go live card, press Go live now.
- Peakify shows you exactly what you would pay today: your plan, any discount code applied, and the total charged today. Nothing has been charged at this point.
- If that looks right, press the Pay and go live button to confirm. If not, press Back, nothing happens.
If your card is declined, nothing is charged and your trial carries on exactly as it was, fix the card in Stripe and try again.
Have a discount code
Type it into the box on the Go live card and press Apply before pressing Go live now. It takes you straight to the same confirmation screen with the discount already worked into the total, still nothing charged until you confirm.
Doing nothing
If you take no action, the same charge runs automatically on the date shown on the card, on the card you signed up with. Everything you have set up carries over exactly as it is.
Cancel the automatic charge
If you are not ready, press Cancel the charge on the Go live card. Your trial keeps working exactly as it was until it ends, and nothing further is charged. Press Undo on the same card at any time before your trial ends to put things back and go live whenever you are ready.
Claim the founder price during your trial
While the Founder's Offer is running and spots are left, an admin sees a Founder's Offer card on the Dashboard during the trial. Claiming it changes the price you will pay when you go live, and nothing else.
- On your Dashboard, press Claim founder price on the Founder's Offer card.
- The card changes to Founder price claimed and tells you what going live will charge. Nothing is charged today, and your plan, your features and your trial end date stay exactly as they were.
- Go to Billing. The Go live card now shows your founder price, and that is what going live, or the automatic charge when your trial ends, will take.
If the offer closes before you press the button, nothing changes on your plan. An account can claim it once, only during its trial, and only when it is billed in US dollars.
If your trial has already ended
Once your trial ends without going live, your account moves to the free plan rather than being cut off: your team can keep replying to messages, your AI answers a limited number of conversations, and web chat stays live on your site. Your credit balance stays on the account, but the free plan does not use credit, so you cannot add credit or turn on automatic top-ups until you upgrade. If you added a phone number during the trial, its subscription is cancelled and the number is held for 14 days, texting, calls, the AI phone assistant and your softphone all stop working. Upgrading during those 14 days lets you buy the same number back; after that it is released for good. Phone numbers, texting and outbound calling all switch back on once you upgrade.
To upgrade, press Upgrade on the free plan card on your Billing page. It opens Change plan, where each plan has its own Upgrade button. Press the one you want and you go to Stripe Checkout to pay. Your plan switches on as soon as the payment goes through, and you get the same "you are officially live" email as a trial that goes live. Upgrading keeps the contact volume and billing period you had on your trial; you can change either from Change plan once the plan is active. If you would rather talk to us first, use Questions? Email us on the same card.
Your Billing page then shows Current plan: Free plan with a Trial ended badge, and Billing information says No further charges. The free plan card says how many conversations the AI will answer. Once those are used up it says so instead, and new chats ask the visitor for their details and land in your inbox for a human.
The free plan includes one seat, and your Usage page reads Free with that one seat, even if you were on a bigger plan during the trial.

More in Billing
The other guides people read alongside this one.
- How do I change my plan?
Pick a new plan, contact volume or billing interval from Change plan, see exactly what it costs and when it takes effect, then confirm. Nothing is charged until you do.
- How do I add credit, and can it top itself up automatically?
Add money to your SMS & Voice wallet any time from Billing, or turn on automatic top-ups so it never runs dry. It is the one balance that pays for texts, calls and AI Workspace answers for your team past their free monthly amount.
- Where do I find my invoices and see what I was charged for?
The Invoices & receipts tab lists every subscription invoice and every one-off payment, credit top-ups, automatic top-ups, A2P and signup fees, each with a link to download it or view its Stripe receipt.
- How do I cancel, and what happens to my data afterwards?
Cancel from Manage in Stripe on your Billing page. Your plan runs until the end of the period you already paid for, then your inboxes are archived, your phone numbers are held for a short while, and your data is kept, not deleted.
