How do customers book an appointment with me online?
Share your booking link, customers pick a time that is really free, and the booking lands in your calendar with no phone call.
You get a booking page of your own. You share the link, a customer picks a time you are genuinely free, and the appointment is in your calendar before they put the phone down. They never make an account and you never confirm anything by hand.
Get your booking link
Your link is your booking page address with your business id on the end, so it reads as your Peakify address, then /book/, then your business id.
Put it wherever customers already look for you: your website, your Google Business Profile, your email signature, your invoices.
Before it will offer any times
Two things have to be set, and until they are, the page tells the customer to call you rather than showing times you cannot honour.
- How many jobs you can run at once. One number for the whole business. Three technicians is three, one van is one. Until this is set, the page says you have not finished setting up online booking.
- When customers may book. This starts as the same hours you are open, so most businesses never touch it. Narrowing it does not change when your AI treats you as closed, those are two different settings on purpose. See What are my business hours for, and what happens after hours?
What the customer sees
- They open your link and see your business name and your brand colour.
- They pick a day, then a time. Only times you are really free are shown.
- They give a name and an email address. A phone number is optional.
- They press Book this time, and the appointment is theirs.
If somebody else takes that exact time while they are typing, they are told straight away and the next open times appear underneath. Nobody starts again and nobody gets a booking you cannot keep.
The confirmation
Every booking sends one email, in your logo and your colours, with the time, how long it takes and a link to change or cancel it. The same link is shown on screen the moment they book, so they have it even if the email goes to their spam folder.
The email goes to the address they typed, not to a phone number. Text confirmations are not sent, because a person who has only just filled in your booking form has not given permission to be texted.
When a customer changes their booking
Their link opens a page showing their appointment with two choices, move it to another time or cancel it.
- Moving it frees the old time straight away, books the new one, and sends a fresh confirmation. The old link stops working, the new email carries the new one.
- Cancelling puts the time back on offer immediately.
Either way the change is in your calendar the moment they make it.
If a link has stopped working
Booking links are deliberately one-change-only. The moment an appointment is moved or cancelled, every link sent before that stops working, so an old email can never act on a booking that has already changed. The newest confirmation in the customer's inbox always has the link that works.

More in Settings and your account
The other guides people read alongside this one.
- Where do I go to change something about my account or business?
Click Settings in the sidebar, it opens into a list of areas, click the one you need.
- How do I update my business name, logo, contact details or address?
Go to Settings, then General, update whatever's changed and press Save changes. Your logo, brand colour and contact details are what your customers see on the emails you send them. Only admins can save.
- How do I set my timezone and business hours?
Set them on the General tab. Your AI assistant and your scheduling tools both use these to know when you're actually open.
- How do I give my customers a link to sign in and see their documents?
Claim a short web address under General. Depending on your plan, that address becomes the one page your customers use to ask for a link, either a sign-in link or a link to their own progress.
