Who can set up pipelines, journeys, automations and the rest?
Every screen on the Setup tab needs an organization admin. Non-admins never see the tab at all.
Every screen under Setup needs the same thing: an organization admin. Which screens you see depends on your plan. Every paid plan has Journey, Pipelines and Payment instructions. Pro and up adds Automations, Queue settings, AUX modes and Document types.
The plain rule
- Organization admins see the Setup tab and everything inside it.
- Everyone else doesn't see the Setup tab at all. If someone without admin access types the URL for it directly, they see an "Admins only" notice instead of the real screen, and nothing is fetched for them.
Unlike Schedules on the day-to-day side of Team management, there's no partial or delegated access to anything under Setup: it's admin, or nothing.
Every save is checked again
Even though the tab itself is hidden from non-admins, every individual save, whether it's a new pipeline stage, an automation rule, or a payment instruction, is checked again on the server at the moment it's made, using your real session rather than trusting that the screen was only ever shown to an admin.

More in Team management: setting it up
The other guides people read alongside this one.
- How do I turn on Team management, and what does it actually add?
Team management adds a shared workspace for your staff: your customer journey, tasks and a queue of work to hand out, plus time tracking and schedules on Pro and up. What you get depends on your plan.
- What's the difference between a "pipeline" and the "customer journey"?
A pipeline is the general idea of stages a contact moves through. The customer journey is your main pipeline, the one new contacts start in, and it also creates tasks automatically and marks when a lead becomes a customer.
- How do I set up a pipeline for how my customers move through my business?
Create a pipeline, add the stages your work actually goes through, and give each stage a task template so your team knows what to do when a contact reaches it.
- How do I set up my customer journey?
We draft a set of steps for your business with AI, and you review and edit every one before anything is installed. You can tailor it again at any time, and we say plainly what reaches the customers who are already in it.
