How do I turn on Team management, and what does it actually add?
Team management adds a shared workspace for your staff: tasks, time tracking, schedules and a queue of work to hand out. Whether it's on for your account depends on your plan.
Team management is a second workspace inside your account, built for businesses that hand work between people rather than answering every conversation themselves. It adds tasks, a shared queue of work, time tracking, schedules and reporting, all in one page reached from a single "Team management" link in your sidebar.
What it adds
- For everyone on your team: a Workspace tab, a Tasks list, My time, My performance and Documents. Each person works from their own tabs.
- For admins only: Team time, Schedules and Reports, for running the team, plus a Setup tab for configuring pipelines, the customer journey, automations, the queue, AUX statuses, document types and payment instructions.
Nothing here is a set of separate pages. It's one page with tabs across the
top, and everything that used to live under separate /settings/... pages
for this area now lives inside those tabs instead.
Whether it's on for your account
Team management is switched on per organization, depending on your plan. It isn't included in the free trial deposit, and it turns off automatically if a trial expires without upgrading. If it isn't on, opening Team management shows a plain note that task management isn't turned on, on every tab, rather than a broken screen. Chat with us if you're not sure whether your plan includes it or want to turn it on.
Where to start
If you're setting Team management up for the first time, the order that makes the most sense is: understand the difference between a pipeline and the customer journey first (see What's the difference between a "pipeline" and the "customer journey"?), then either install the ready-made journey or build your own pipeline, then configure the queue and AUX statuses so your team can actually start working from it.

More in Team management: setting it up
The other guides people read alongside this one.
- What's the difference between a "pipeline" and the "customer journey"?
A pipeline is the general idea of stages a contact moves through. The customer journey is one specific, ready-made pipeline that also creates tasks automatically and marks when a lead becomes a customer.
- How do I set up a pipeline for how my customers move through my business?
Create a pipeline, add the stages your work actually goes through, and give each stage a task template so your team knows what to do when a contact reaches it.
- How do I set up the ready-made customer journey?
Install the standard journey with one click, or have it drafted around your own business first. Either way you see exactly how many customers and tasks it creates before you confirm.
- How do I get reminded automatically when a customer is stuck on a step?
Turn on the "Stage reminders" automation to get one email a day, per customer, as their step falls due, then again if it goes overdue, then every two weeks and later monthly if they're still stuck there.
