How do I send emails from my own business domain?

Connect a subdomain like send.yourbusiness.com and add a few DNS records so client emails come from your business, not a shared address.

Connecting your own domain means client emails come from your business name instead of a shared Peakify address. It takes a few minutes to set up, plus however long your domain provider takes to pick up the DNS changes.

Depending on your account, this setting may not be available yet; it is part of the back-office tools, not every plan.

Pick a domain

We suggest a dedicated subdomain like send.yourbusiness.com rather than your main website domain. It keeps your website untouched and is the easiest to get right.

  1. Go to Settings, then Channels, then Email domain.
  2. Type your domain, for example send.yourbusiness.com, into the box.
  3. Click Connect domain.

Your domain is added immediately, and a table of DNS records appears below it.

Add the DNS records

Each row in the table shows a type, a host, and a value. Add each one at your domain provider, wherever you manage your domain's DNS, for example your registrar or Cloudflare, exactly as shown.

Check it again

Once you have added the records, come back and click Check again. DNS changes can take a little while to show up everywhere, so if it still says waiting, try again shortly rather than assuming something is wrong. Each record shows Valid once we have detected it, or not detected yet until then.

Once every record is valid, the domain shows as Verified, and your client emails immediately start sending from it instead of the shared address.
