How do I check if a channel is actually working?
Open a channel's Account Health tab to see if it is installed, connected and actually delivering, based on what we have really seen, not a guess.
Each website chat, SMS or WhatsApp inbox has its own Account Health tab, a straight answer to "is this actually working" based on what we have really seen happen, not just on whether a setup form was filled in.
Open it
- Go to Settings, then Connections, and open the inbox you want to check.
- Click its Account Health tab.
Depending on your account, you manage inboxes here directly, or from inside Peakify CX Chat instead, see the note near the top of this category for which one applies to you. Account Health only exists for website chat, SMS and WhatsApp inboxes, other inbox types only show a Settings tab.
Website chat: is the widget actually running
- Widget install says Live once we have genuinely seen your chat widget load on your site, or Not verified yet if we never have. Paste the snippet on your live site and open a page once, and this switches over on its own, see How do I put the snippet on my site, and check it's really live?
- Recent visits shows the last time we saw the widget load, and turns to Not seen for a while once it has been more than a week. We only record a visit at most once every 15 minutes, so a quiet card does not mean nobody is visiting, just that nobody has visited very recently.
SMS: is the number and the registration in order
- A2P 10DLC registration shows whether your United States texting registration is approved, still in review, needs attention, or was never started. It shows Not required if you only text Canadian numbers. See Why do I need to register before I can text? if this needs fixing.
- Phone number shows whether the number behind this inbox is active, being released, or already released back to the carrier, so you know it is really in service rather than just present in your number list.
WhatsApp: is Meta actually connected
A banner at the top says whether we hold your Meta connection details, and a second banner says how fresh the numbers below are, checked with Meta a few times a day automatically, there is no button to force a check. If our last check failed but we still have older numbers on file, we show those and say plainly how old they are, rather than leaving the screen blank.
Below that, six cards show your display phone number, business name, message quality rating (green is healthy, yellow or red means people are blocking or reporting your messages), your daily messaging limit (this starts at 50 people a day for a new number and goes up on its own as you send good messages), whether the number is live or still in Meta's test mode, and whether Meta is actually sending your incoming messages to Peakify. If the webhook connection shows Not connected, that is usually why "the AI stopped replying" even though everything else looks fine, see How do I connect WhatsApp? to reconnect.
If something here shows a problem
Fix the specific thing the card names, reinstall the snippet, finish A2P registration, or reconnect with Meta, using the linked article for that channel. If you have done that and the card still will not turn green after a little while, chat with us and we will take a look.
