How do I make and take calls?
See your call history, watch calls happening right now, and get missed callers a text back automatically.
Once you have a phone number connected to Voice AI or a softphone, every call to or from it shows up on the Calls page, whether the AI answered it, a teammate did, or nobody picked up.
See your calls
Go to Calls. You will see:
- Totals for calls, completed, missed, and active right now.
- Active calls, if any are ringing or in progress.
- Your call history, newest first, with the direction, who was on the other end, the status, how long it lasted, and a short AI summary where one exists.
Filter by direction, inbound or outbound, or by status, and click any call to open its full detail, including the complete transcript when the AI was involved.
Read a call's full detail
Open any call from the list to see everything about it: the exact time, both numbers involved, how long the call and the AI's part of it each lasted, the recording if one exists, and a full turn-by-turn transcript once it has arrived. If a transcript has not shown up yet for a call the AI was on, you can pull it directly from our telephony provider with the Fetch transcript button.
Missed calls get a text back
When someone calls and nobody answers, or you decline, we can automatically text them so they have a way to keep the conversation going instead of just hanging up. Turn this on or off, and optionally write your own message, from Calls, then Voice. If you do not write one, a sensible default message is used for each outcome, a completed call, a missed one, or a declined one, automatically.
You can see whether the text-back actually went out for a specific call on that call's own detail page. If it did not send, the reason is shown in plain language, for example a policy reason like the contact having opted out, rather than looking like a broken feature.
