Why is the chat box not showing on my website?
Almost always one of two things: the snippet was never actually published live, or your account has a newer snippet waiting on a switch only we control.
Your chat bubble is not showing up on your site. Work through these in order, the first one catches almost everyone.
Check these first
- The snippet was never actually published. Open the live page in a normal browser window, not a preview, a draft, or your website builder's editor. A snippet sitting in an unpublished draft does nothing. If you are not sure exactly where to paste it for your specific website builder, see How do I put the snippet on my site, and check it's really live? which has the exact steps for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, and a plain HTML site.
- You have two blocks of code and only pasted one. Depending on your account, your inbox's settings might show two snippets: an older one already live on your site, and a newer one. If that is what you see, both need to be on your page at the same time, the newer snippet does nothing on its own until we finish switching your account over on our side, so removing the old one early takes your chat down rather than upgrading it. Leave the old one in place until we tell you it is safe to remove.
- Check what your inbox settings actually say. Open the inbox's own settings page. It tells you plainly whether we have genuinely seen the widget start up on your site yet, or whether it is still waiting on its first real visit. That status is set the moment a real visitor's browser loads the script, not by anything you tick yourself, so it is honest evidence either way.
- Ad blockers, and single-page websites. Some ad blockers hide chat bubbles, try a private browsing window with blockers off. If your site is built with something like React, Vue, or Angular, where clicking a link does not reload the page, the bubble can disappear after the first page change, a developer fix for that is in the article linked above.
What only we can see
Whether the widget script is reaching our servers at all is something only we can check from our side, your browser cannot tell you that. If you have done everything above and the bubble still is not there after a few minutes, open Help in your sidebar and email us the exact address of the page you are testing, we will look at it directly.

- Why is the AI not replying at all?
About half a dozen switches can quietly silence the AI on one conversation without anything looking broken. Check them in this order.
- The AI answered something wrong, or made something up. What do I do?
The real fix is almost always what the AI knows or how strictly it is told to stick to your services, not a bug to report.
- Why are my texts not arriving?
Check the reason shown on the message itself first, most causes are plain-language and self-explanatory once you see them.
- Someone texted us and it never showed up. Where did it go?
This almost always comes down to which of your numbers they texted, and whether that number is actually connected to a working SMS inbox.
