How do I send a quick reply without typing it every time?

If you find yourself typing the same reply over and over, a saved reply lets you insert the whole thing with a few keystrokes.

Create a saved reply

1. Go to Settings, then Inbox, then Library, or from the Canned responses section under Settings, Inbox.
2. Click New response.
3. Give it a short code, like greeting or hours, and write the message it should insert.
4. Save.

Use it while replying

1. In the reply box, type / followed by the short code, or just / to see the full list.
2. Pick the one you want from the list that appears.
3. It fills into your reply, edit it if you need to before sending.

WhatsApp message templates

If you have a WhatsApp inbox connected, there is a separate kind of saved message: an approved template. WhatsApp only lets you message a customer freely within 24 hours of their last message, outside that window you can still reach them, but only with a template Meta has approved in advance.

1. Go to Settings, then Inbox, open your WhatsApp inbox, then Templates.
2. Submit a template for approval. Approval usually takes a few hours, up to 48.
3. Once approved, send it into any conversation on that inbox at any time, including outside the 24 hour window, from the template tool button in the composer.
