Getting started
Sign up, verify your email, start the $1 trial, and finish the two setup screens.
What you need
- An email address you can open right now. We send a code to it.
- A card. The trial costs $1, and the card is kept for when you go live.
- About ten minutes.
Create your account
- Open the sign-up page and fill in your name, email, phone and a password. The password has to be at least 8 characters.
- You can use Continue with Google instead if you would rather not pick a password.
- Press Create my account.
We do not ask for your business name here. That comes later, on the setup screens, so you are not filling in forms before you have seen anything work.
Enter the code we email you
We do not send a sign-in link. We send a 6-digit code, which is harder to forward by accident and does not break when an email scanner opens it first.
- Check your inbox for the code. It is good for 10 minutes.
- Type it in and press Verify and continue.
- If it has not arrived, wait half a minute and press Send a new code. Check your spam folder too.
Start the trial
Next you land on a welcome screen with one button on it. Pressing it takes you to Stripe to pay $1.
That $1 is the whole charge for the first 7 days. Your plan price only starts when you go live, which is when you want a phone number, texting or calls.
- Press Start for $1.
- Pay on the Stripe page. Your card is saved for later.
- You come back to a short processing screen while we finish setting your account up, then you are in.
If you close the Stripe page without paying, nothing is charged and the welcome screen is still there waiting for you.
Two setup screens
The first time you land in the account we ask two short questions before anything else. There is no way to skip them, and they take under a minute.
- Pick the kind of business your receptionist is for.
- Put in your business name, a contact email and a contact phone number.
Use the business name your customers know you by. It is the name the AI uses when it answers them, and it is the name that goes on your texts.
Finish setting up
After that you get a checklist. Nothing on it is blocking, and you can work through it at your own pace.
- Ask your AI a question. This is the one to do first. Ask it something only you would know and watch what it says.
- Connect a channel. Website chat, texting, WhatsApp, voice, or a softphone.
- Add your business knowledge, so the answers sound like you rather than like a search engine.
- Invite a teammate, if you share the work with anyone.
The checklist belongs to the whole account, not to you. If you hide it, your colleagues see it hidden too, and there is a Resume setup button to bring it back.
Where to go next
- Adding your knowledge base is the change that makes the biggest difference to the answers.
- Putting the widget on your site is what gets the first real conversation in.
- Connecting a phone number is the go-live step. It is also the point where your plan starts.
